Hosanna! Easter celebrations are behind us, but we hope that you were able to pause and take time to praise our Father who made a path for our salvation. Our Father who loves us so much that, “though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross” (Philippians 2:6–8). May we continue to meditate and hold these truths and be in awe of our Father’s love for us and praise Him!

We have visited a number of our churches in the Eastern and Atlantic Associations, and it has been a blessing to have Paul around more as we travel to these churches for the weekend. With the closeness of these churches, we are able to travel together. We look forward to the coming months being able to continue to visit churches in our area and celebrate the boys. This will be a special time for our family. Praise God with us for the faithfulness the boys have received in helping them to obtain and finish well their various levels of education.

We are also excited for Jonah, as he will be going with the Houghton Soccer Team to Brazil for a mission trip (May 14–24). Please pray for safe travels and that hearts would be softened and drawn to God, as well as enjoying soccer camps. We are also looking forward to Elijah participating in the NAB Gateway Team to Hungary (July 19–August 7), assisting in VBS gatherings and ministering to the Roma people. May God be glorified and hearts drawn to His love and peace.

Continue to keep Shan Reed and Yuri Nakano in prayer, as they are busy with ministry and administration duties of running the Japan field. Each month we meet through Zoom to stay in touch, support one another, and help with field ministry discussions. Pray for these Zoom meetings, that they would be productive and encouraging.

Please continue to keep Japan in your prayers, that the Japanese will be drawn to Jesus, that they will have the courage and boldness to follow the leading of the Spirit in their hearts (John 6:44).

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Japan to stand firmly and boldly for Jesus and share their faith with those in their circle of influence. Pray that our brothers and sisters in Christ would take full ownership and leadership of their faith.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support.

Grace and Peace,

Paul & Melissa Ewing
