Dear Family and Friends,

nick1Praise the Father! Two summer camps have been successfully held in July, with 134 left-behind children participants and 31 brothers and sisters of volunteers. The children’s parents work in cities faraway and most of them merely have reunion with their kids, for a week or so, during the spring festival each year. Sharing Jes*s’ love to the kids and building up their self-esteem are two major nick2goals of the camps. G*d’s blessings are always more than what we expect. We praise our Father that the lives of children participants were amazingly influenced through the camps. All volunteers were thrilled that their own lives were also enriched through serving the kids who got great needs in mental, emotional and spiritual growth. May the Father continue to care and draw the children close to Himself!

nick3In the last week of June, a team of 7 people from the congregation went for STM trip to a remote minority ethnic group area. Drug and alcohol addiction, theft, AIDS infection are prevalent in that area; meanwhile, the ethnic group has its own traditional superstitious belief in charge by sorcerers. We visited high schools, elementary school, and families residing on the hills. We met students and learned about their culture and poor living conditions. Most students have to walk for hours on the hilly paths to attend school every day. The financial aid and spiritual needs are great there. The ch**ch plans to establish a long-term compassionate m*n*stries to provide care for the youth’s physical and spiritual needs. We pr*y that our Father touches the hearts of the entire congregation participating in this new m*n*stry.

In early July, Nick had the privilege to speak at a workshop for physicians and medical management personnel. The venue is a hospital which was established by a team of Canadian miss*onar*es in 1892 and has been developed to be renowned in the past century. G*d is awesome! In this special opportunity, Nick advocated the three virtues of Chr*st*anity (faith, hope, and love) to this group of medical professionals who usually work in stressful atmosphere with daily struggles in career morals. May our Father give them hearts of compassion, integrity, and responsibility to serve the society.

Last but not least, we are very thankful to have our first child dedication for six couples with their children on July 31. We pr*y that our Father continues to guide and protect the growth of all dedicated children in His ways.

Once again, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to your walking with us together in the m*sson journey. May you and your family experience the wonder of our Father’s grace and love everyday!

Your m*ssion*ries,

Nick and Iris
