G*d answered YOUR pr*yers. We are excited and anticipating that Bud and Lois are going to co-work with us in the near future. Thank you for their obedience of responding to His call. We pr*y that the Almighty One fulfills their financial needs in His time and guides them all the way.
We are thankful that a group of university students had a meaningful Xmas celebration with us at our home last December. Since Xmas is generally recognized in this country as a “Western” festival connected with fun, parties and shopping, most participants have never learned about the story of our Savior’s birth. When we got the privilege to share the nativity story with them and watch the J*sus Film together, the inexpressible joy filled our hearts. We pr*y that the seed of Good News continues growing in their hearts day by day.
Lunar New Year is the most celebrated season in this country. A holiday of seven weeks has started from mid-January in most universities here. Almost all students left school and returned to their hometowns for family reunion and celebration. Like last year, we grabbed this opportunity to organize a winter camp for them before their leaving. Twenty students from several universities joined the camp which the message of prodigal son in the Book was delivered. On the other hand, another eight university students took a lengthy trip to mountainous rural area and volunteered to hold two winter education camps for kids who rarely receive formal education uphill. Under the chilly weather and primitive environment, warm water supply for taking shower was scarce and food supply was very limited to the volunteer teams. Despite the unfavorable physical condition, they accomplished to teach the kids with their burning hearts. They were delighted that they were able to bring those kids education and hope. We pr*y that these volunteer students and kids would open their hearts and realize that Je*us is the source of hope to bring change to people’s lives, attitude, environment and society.
A national couple, whom we are co-working to serve minority ethnic group, held two winter camps for kids in January and February. Although some kids had left for towns to work and tried to earn money for their families during holiday break, forty kids attended and enjoyed the camps very much. They experienced to be loved and cared, as well as learned discipline and respect others through the camps. We hope that it would bring impact to their lives and then their ethnic group in the future.
