The Russia–Ukraine War continues, and so do the ministries that the NAB sponsors. I am amazed as our brothers and sisters living in the middle of war continue to labor so faithfully.

Let me first give a quick update on Moscow Seminary. Yesterday, I spoke with Peter Miskavich, the president of Moscow Seminary. He reported that life in Russia is very much like it always has been. He assured me that education of new students continues in the middle of this conflict. The school has a full load of students there in Moscow, and all the satellite campuses are still open. Russia is closed to North Americans at this point, so we are unable to send visiting professors from here. Pray for the Moscow faculty as they try to cover courses in the satellite campuses in addition to their regular load of classes in Moscow. Pray for the students as they try to concentrate on their studies during a very difficult time. Pray that the war will end so that Western professors can resume traveling to teach in Russia. We have several men who are willing to step up and go as soon as the light is green.

Unlike Russia, the Ukraine seminary is struggling with daily bombings in Odessa. Thankfully, the buildings on campus have not been damaged significantly, but the threat is always front and center. Most students these days are women, which is really amazing, since Ukraine is a male-dominated society. God is doing a new thing in His church in Ukraine. Unfortunately, most of the men are subject to the draft as soon as they step outside their apartments. Some are reportedly locked in their apartments all the time. This is an extremely difficult time for families in Ukraine. Most families have lost at least one family member, and many have lost many family members. The children of Ukraine have lost parents, grandparents, and friends, if not their own lives. Let us pray that the Captain of the Lord of Hosts will intervene and end this terrible conflict. Nothing is impossible with our God!

Together with you in His service,
