Dear Family and Friends,
Despite the atheistic policy in the country, idol worship and superstitious beliefs are prevalent among the nation, especially for the sake of wealth gain or health recuperation. The nationals are eager to seek supernatural benefits from the spirits through various ways at any cost.
After a class studying the book of Revelation about the deception of Satan at the end times, a participant came to me (Nick) immediately and confessed that she used to be a fanatical idol worshipper before she became a Chr*stian a few months ago. She cried seriously and struggled to make a decision to remove all idol statues that cost her lots of money. She shared her story about how she followed the superstitious beliefs and acts to face difficulties in the past. Nick asked her to pr*y and seek G*d’s guidance and peace in her heart to make the right decision. A few days later in April, she came and asked for help to remove all her idol statues at home. Since then, we realized that genuine peace and joy from G*d fills her heart.
In early May, another family was also willing to remove two carts of their idol statues from home even though they had deeply worshipped them for several decades. We are very thankful for J*sus’ victory over the powers of darkness and His mercy to people here. May the Lord continue revealing Himself to the nation that He is the only true G*d!
Your continuing walking with us in the m*ssion journey means a lot to us. It is such a privilege for us to extend His Kingdom together. Thank you very much for all your pr*yers, support and caring.
PRAISES
The first Marriage Enrichment Retreat in February: through the three-day retreat, 14 couples’ marital relationships were renewed and enriched, and six people became believers. Thank you very much for your pr*yers.
Praise the Lord! In the past quarter, brothers and sisters have finished two B*ble study classes. Thirty-nine participants have completed studying the Book of Ephesians and fifty-eight participants have completed studying the Book of Revelation. We are thankful for the congregation’s thirst for His Word and growth in Him.
Outreach activity for families at the end of April: twelve families joined and cooked healthy meals (DIY) together. The Lord is good and always good, giving us wonderful moments to witness Him among non-believes with a lot of fun.
Spiritual Retreat in early May: G*d is awesome! More than 60 brothers and sisters, who actively serve in various ministries in the ch*rch, had inspiring and reflective moments through meditation of His Word and studying the Bi*le. Commitment to the Lord was strengthened again.
33 new converts at this quarter
9 people were baptized at Easter
Your m*ssion*ries,
Nick and Iris
