When I was growing up in the 1950’s and 60’s, neighborhoods in our cities were changing. The “poor” were moving in. The Evangelical Church “solved” this problem by moving away from them—to the suburbs. Since 2008, more “poor” people are now living in the suburbs than the cities. What is the Evangelical Church going to do this time?

The more Jeannie and I teach and train nationals in Central Europe to reach and develop their poor communities, the more we realize Community Health Evangelism (CHE) has the answers for the American and Canadian Churches to reach their changing communities as well. We have also learned that our experienced national workers from Central Europe can become meaningful partners to help us learn how to do it.

We are excited and privileged to announce that Marijana Cizmanski, our Serbian CHE Director, will be joining Jeannie and me to facilitate a CHE Vision Seminar, hosted by Bismarck Baptist Church in Bismarck, ND, (www.BB.church) on Saturday, February 18 from 9 AM to 4 PM. You are invited to attend, to learn about Community Health Evangelism and how it may help your church reach your changing community.

On March 7 and 8, Stan Rowland, founder of CHE and Neighborhood Transformation (NT), will be joining us to present an NT Vision Seminar to church leaders and workers in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This Vision Seminar, hosted by Rev. Sig Seidel and Mission Baptist Church will focus on CHE Strategies for urban settings. Again, you are invited to attend. Just contact Rev. Seidel (204-927-2388).

Ron and Jeannie Seck Travel to the Dakotas, Michigan, and Manitoba before Returning to Hungary

It’s been months in the planning — a three-week ministry trip through the US, Upper Midwest, and Winnipeg, Canada. During this journey we will be visiting NAB churches and supporters, preaching, teaching, presenting CHE Vision Seminars, and enjoying good fellowship with new and old friends.

A special delight of this trip is that we will be accompanied in the Dakotas and Michigan by our co-worker from Serbia, Marijana Cizmanski, and her husband Emil. Marijana is Director of our ZZ Serbia Team headquartered in Novi Sad.

Here are some of the highlights of our coming trip. If you are in the area of any of these events, why not come and join in? We’d love to see you too!
