April and May were months of preparation for summer camp. At the very beginning of June, we did a four-day summer camp. For the first time ever, we had a team from the USA for our summer activities.

They were a team of nine, fathers with their young children willing to serve and see the Roma people like everybody else without judging. Kids and young Roma from the village were in heaven for four days because somebody showed them love and respect.

Amazing stories were being shared, and a lot of different games were played. We showed The Jesus Film one night, we prayed for them, we worshiped together with a few songs and shared lives, and we experienced some new things. One child from the village said, “At the camp, at this moment, we have more people here in our backyard than on a regular day at school.” We were around 50 people at that moment, more than how many kids the school has regularly.

One night, we shared The Jesus Film. All the kids and so many young people showed up, and some parents came to see it. All of them prayed a prayer at the end asking Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. More than 30 people prayed this prayer.

Now we are at the stage of putting a team together so that we can:

  • Start discipleship
  • Organize youth meetings
  • Organize women’s meetings
  • Start worship and Bible study meeting

Please pray for Zoran and me, as we are trying to put these things together.

This is Zoran sharing Bible story with kids.

May and June were really hard for me health wise. I had three stones in my left kidney. I felt pain as we prepared the summer camp, and I took medication as we did the camp. A few weeks after the camp, I ended up with the kidney attack as the stones started their journey.

After ten days in bed, with infection and bleeding, my body started to recover. Today, I am still dealing with doctors, as I have one more stone (a fourth one) in my left kidney, and the same process is expected. Hopefully, I will take care of this stone without pain and emergency.

The importance of taking care of our health.

Just a few weeks after summer camp, one American team visited our church. My pastor asked me if I would like them to visit our Roma village. They are medical staff.

The next day, we went to the village. The doctors did some significant check-ups, shared knowledge, and gave important advice to a few individuals.

This team wants to come back again next year, and we are going to be able to organize a medical day with them for the whole village.

My church is very much interested in starting a new group with the Royal Rangers ministry. Please pray that this will be realized.

In October, CHE will host a worldwide international conference for the first time ever in Albania. I am in the process of working on flights and registration for Zoran and myself. There, we are going to be able to see old friends and partners in the ministry, meet with new people who are interested in supporting our work, encourage and hear other teams where they are and what practices they have, and much more.

Emil (my husband) and I are supposed to travel to Northern Ireland to attend the NAB Missions Summit in September with other NAB missionaries and talk about international missions together. I am encouraged that we can do that together and not as individuals.

Emil and I celebrated our 25-year anniversary in July.

I am in my final months of studies. I have three more exams and hopefully I am going to be able to take my final exam in October. Please pray for that.

Marija, my friend and board member, has good news for us, as the cancer is only metastasized in 30 percent of her lungs instead of 90 percent. Doctors are encouraged. Even so, we are still asking for prayers, as she still has cancer cells in her lungs. And, please pray that cancer didn’t spread to other parts of her body (like brain and bones). Also, please pray that doctors make a decision in her favor when it comes to therapies in the future.

Many blessings from the ZZ team and me.
