Kairos/HFC Partnership Bearing Fruit
We began with three students in 2022 in our newly launched partnership with Kairos Seminary and Hispanics for Christ. They were from Colombia, where Greg Henson had invited me and a few others to present Kairos in Spanish to a group of leaders from the Christian Missionary Alliance (Alianza de Colombia) churches in Colombia.

First group in Columbia in 2022
We had so much learning to do in the first couple of years! We had to translate everything into Spanish and then find learning experiences to use for the students. We had to build our own “Paths” on the classroom management platform (Pathwright), and we had to raise up faculty mentors to work with the students.
All that happened with the help of our wonderful and committed team – Tony Campos (US), Kenny Wallace (Canada), and Guillermo MacKenzie (Argentina). As of this month, we have 29 students currently enrolled in our program from Canada to Argentina. More importantly, we have had three students graduate so far, two with Doctor of Ministry degrees and one with a Master of Divinity degree.
The Colombian pastor is responsible for revitalization in his country’s CMA churches and has used his DMin project as the basis of the training he has even taken to the Dominican Republic. The graduate with his MDiv is actively planting his second church in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. The third graduate is writing pastoral training materials for churches in El Salvador.
We feel very blessed to be part of this new model of delivering affordable theological education to Hispanic leaders. We see the need for this and will continue to develop this ministry as the Lord leads.
New Avenue for Local Church Training
We are developing a Leadership Institute at HFC we call Instituto de Liderazgo, which will offer a certificate upon completion of the Bible Institute courses or the Pastor’s Institute courses. The idea is to create something Hispanic churches can use to train leaders within their own churches. The courses are very low cost, available online with local cohorts, and are hosted on Kairos University’s Pathwright platform.
We are excited about this new ministry, as it can help deliver training for many churches that wouldn’t normally have access to training or would require a missionary or trainer be sent to conduct the classes locally.
