It has been a busy time for us, we made a trip back to Alberta on May 29 to attend Vern’s mom’s memorial on June 14. Gloria’s mom was admitted to the hospital on May 25 and passed away June 5, and we held her funeral on June 10. We were very thankful to be with her in her final days. She lived a very good life for 93 years.

Campfire is always a special time for the campers, as they worship, listen to God’s Word shared by the guest speaker, and take in the beautiful view.

We are so thankful that the tiles are down in the main lodge dining room – this is a great space for the campers to have worship / Bible lessons, games, and a space to be when it is raining.
We arrived back in Romania on June 21, and summer camps were already in full swing. We had two church groups here for the last two weeks of June. For the next two weeks, we have camps going on, organized by the Gerickes and Robi and Miriam. Last week, we had teenagers; this week, we have young adults. Camp Falcon Rock is a happening place: worship times, Bible lessons, team challenges, crafts, slip ‘n’ slide, amazing race, games, always lots of excitement.

The guys have been busy extending the steps up to the main lodge. A crew will be here next week to put up the railing on the stairs and around the deck.
We have three more weeks of church groups doing their summer camps, and then things will slow down and the staff can take a much-needed break.
We have been blessed to serve with this special couple, Paul and Tanya Gericke, for the last ten years. They feel God’s calling to return to Canada to work with young adults as they encourage them to go into ministry. We are going to miss them, but we look forward to this new season and journey that they are on. We are so encouraged by all the lives they have touched and all the planning and work they have done at the camp as they served here for the last eleven years. Please pray for them as they transition back to Canada and seek God’s will.
We are thankful for each of you who continue to journey with us through your prayers and support as we serve at Camp Falcon Rock.
After conversations with the NAB, we want to share that we have made the decision to remain in Romania for another year. With the Gerickes leaving the field, the NAB has invited us to continue serving at Camp Falcon Rock through November 2026. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us beyond that.
We plan to return home this November to spend Christmas with our family. Our last two visits were focused on our parents, and we feel it’s time to enjoy some quality “grandchildren time”!!
We will return to Romania at the beginning of January 2026.
Blessings.
’Til next time,
