Hello friends and family!

We can’t believe it, but we’ve been serving in Romania with Camp Falcon Rock for over a decade now! As we look back on our initial calling and where we are today, we’re in awe of how great our God is in inviting us to join his mission—a mission far greater than anything we could have imagined. Ten years ago when we arrived in Romania, the camp was an overgrown field with a couple of rundown farm houses on property. Now, Camp Falcon Rock is a year-round operational ministry, staffed with an incredible local team, and it has beautiful buildings that will provide a lasting space for ministry for the years to come! First and foremost, we recognize and celebrate the remarkable work of God in bringing this to fruition. We also see that this has only been possible due to the generous and faithful community of support, which includes you, our partners in ministry!

We want to thank you for the years of faithful support of us and this ministry and for your belief in this mission in Romania. We deeply value our partnership with you but even more our friendship! As our dear friends, we wanted to share with you something new God has been stirring in our hearts in this season. As we’ve had the privilege of discipling and equipping young leaders both in Romania and those from North America, who have come over to serve with us, our hearts have been burdened more and more for the educating and forming of this next generation. As we have witnessed the growth, momentum and depth of faith that the youth and young adults are experiencing in Romania our eyes have been opened for this need in North America. We’ve been praying for a while about what this urging might mean for us contextually. As we’ve been discerning how the Spirit might be leading us in this, we’ve come to the conclusion that our time in Romania is coming to an end. This discernment process has been full of reflection, celebration, and grief as we’ve been thinking about leaving Romania. This decision has been extremely difficult, as Romania is our home and those we serve with and our local church have been our family. We care deeply about God’s ongoing work in the lives of all those we have had the privilege of serving over these past ten years. Yet we recognize that we’re in a new season of ministry here with Camp Falcon Rock, and it’s an exciting season of fruit after years of pioneering. In this, we’ve felt released to step into a new season of ministry focusing on this deep longing we have to see young adults in North America be raised up as the next generation of ministry leaders.

With this decision, we’ve decided that this summer 2025 will be our last summer in Romania. We’ll be spending the next few months working with our local team in Romania and the NAB to ensure a smooth transition and growth plan for future ministry. We plan to return to Canada at the beginning of August 2025 and then spend August until the end of January 2026 finalizing transition details with the Romania field and the NAB, fundraising, and visiting our supporting churches and individuals.

We’re truly grateful for each and every one of you, specifically for your love, care, and support of us for over a decade of serving together. This community has been a blessing to us personally, and it’s overwhelming to reflect on all the ways we have seen God work through you. Thank you!

If you have any questions for us in this transition or want to know more about our journey, we would love to connect with you further, so please feel free to reach out.

Thank you for continuing to journey with us!

Grace and Peace.

Paul & Tanya Gericke

P.S. Would you continue to pledge your support toward us until the end of January 2026? We will continue with our ministry as NAB missionaries for close to another year. The majority of this time will be spent in Romania, with a few months spent in North America finishing up our transition details. Your continued financial support during this season would be a huge blessing to us and this ministry.

Even though we plan to transition from Romania, it is our desire to continue to see the ongoing support to Camp Falcon Rock carry forward for years to come. Your partnership has been invaluable in the life-changing mission in Romania over this past decade, and with your support, we are confident that this will continue on. There will be more information in the coming months on how you can keep supporting the ministry in Romania, but in the meantime, would you prayerfully consider continuing your support of the important work at Camp Falcon Rock?
