God has been busy with his paintbrush – we are surrounded by the beauty of fall. We marvel at the creation of God and his faithfulness that he brought us back to Romania for this season. As always, it is hard to leave our homeland and our families, but we pray we can be blessed as we bless others.
We enjoyed having a team of NAB leaders from the USA and Canada with us in October to celebrate ten years of North American Baptist Conference and Hungarian Baptist Convention of Romania partnership at Camp Falcon Rock. The time was spent in conferences, church services, (the ladies) putting together care packages to be given to a Roma village, sharing meals, and spending time together. We are so thankful for this special partnership.
This is the time of year when there are fewer rentals at the camp, so the staff take holidays and everyone catches up on odd jobs as we prepare for cooler weather. Vern and the guys spent a day in the forest to bring in trees to be chopped into firewood for the winter heat.
Construction is happening on an outdoor hot tub, patio, and bar-b-que area by one of the cabins; this will be an added feature to the root cellar (pince). The roofers will be here next week to start on the roof. Everyone is excited to see the finished project.
The electricians have been working on the main lodge, and a wood-burning fireplace was installed so the main area can be used in the cooler weather.
We will leave you with some scenes from around Camp Falcon Rock. Gloria is forever telling Vern to pull over so she can take a picture!!
We thank each of you for your prayers and support as we serve at Camp Falcon Rock.
Blessings – ‘til next time.
