Christmas Together
We’re thankful that Bamenda was calm and secure enough in December so Ysabelle and Elianna could come home for Christmas break. When your kids already make you empty-nesters for high school, every family moment together is cherished. The girls caught up on sleep, Ysabelle sharpened her ballroom dancing skills and Elianna caught up on pleasure reading. They started 2nd semester January 8 back at RFIS. This is Ysabelle’s final semester of high school before she graduates June 6th.
Crisis Relief
The socio-political crisis and conflict is ongoing and increasing in the Anglophone regions of the country. Unrest is beginning to grow in parts of the francophone regions as well. In the midst of it, the church is working hard to be the hands and feet of Jesus during this time of increased suffering. We are so appreciative of the generosity expressed through the Cameroon Crisis Relief Fund https://nabconference.org/give/cameroon-crisis-relief/. The needs are at times overwhelming and heartbreaking, but we’re privileged to do our own part through your generosity. High School Director Needed
Rain Forest International School (RFIS), where Ysabelle and Elianna attend, and where Susie serves as school board chair, is looking for a new director (principal). Our NAB colleague at the school, Kristi TenClay, will be serving as interim director for the 2019/20 school year while the search for a new director continues. Please pray with us that God will bring the right person for this strategic role by June 2020, at the latest.
