School In Zambia

Q3 Ministry Updates…

In August our Zambia staff led two successful Camp Hope events for 546 orphans… introducing them to the Faith, Hope, Love, and Truth available to them in Christ. Over 300 of these kids placed their faith and trust in Christ. Thank you, Pastor Humphray for investing so much time and energy to recruit over 80 local volunteers to lead these camps. And thanks to our entire Zambian staff and North American missionaries for investing in these kids!

School is back in session for our My Father’s House students, and how exciting to see the vast potential of some of Zambia’s finest… Lubasi is a third year law student; Charles is studying Public Administration; Thoko is a Journalism student; Esther is entering a Nursing  program, and Dickson is pursuing a career in Information Systems… and many more of our kids hope to pursue similar dreams!

Chicks-4-Orphans (C4O)—how exciting to see two chicken runs fully stocked with 9,000 day-old chicks! This is our largest undertaking to date and we anticipate this local sustainability endeavor for Every Orphan’s Hope ministries in Zambia will continue to grow. Hybrid Poultry Farms, the partner who supplies us with chicks, and ultimately purchases them back at maturity, was very complimentary of our farm staff and the birds produced during our last growing cycle. Thank you Lucky (EOH Farm Supervisor) and staff for a job well done!

We are also grateful for another partnership that will greatly benefit C4O and our ability to care for orphans. The NAB Women’s Ministries Leadership Team selected C4O as the focus of their 2015 Christmas offering. I hope you will support NAB Women’s Ministries in this project and together let’s anticipate what God will do as a result of our obedience!

The vision of Every Orphan’s Hope is to add two additional chicken runs, thereby increasing capacity to 16,000 birds per cycle, and 6 cycles per year.

Love and Faith in Action…

  • My ministry with Every Orphan’s Hope is made possible through the prayers and financial support of faithful ministry partners. I am asking God to provide 100% of my support goal by December 31, 2015. May I invite you to pray about becoming part of my support team? Your support will make a huge difference!
  • Support an NAB-approved special project in Zambia by clicking here!
  • Consider organizing or participating in an Orphan Sunday event. Orphan Sunday (November 8, 2015) is one day during the year when the church comes together with one voice, for one purpose—to stand with the orphan! Visit orphansunday.org for more information!

Ask and it will be given to you…

  • In June I asked you to pray for two Camp Hope events. You prayed. God responded (see ministry update above). We continue to give thanks!
  • Pray for My Father’s House students as they make the most of their educational opportunities… may they represent Christ well in all they do.
  • I thank God for my first year of ministry with EOH. I have been blessed with many new friendships, and experienced God’s provision in numerous ways–personally and in EOH ministry–and am encouraged for what lies ahead.
