Ron and Jeannie Participate in NAB Triennial
Visit Churches in North and South Dakota
Ron and Jeannie had the awesome privilege to attend and participate in the NAB Triennial in Sacramento, California, July 1 through 5. It was special to them because the conference theme was “Sent” and they had several opportunities to enhance the message. They were accompanied on the trip by their Hungarian co-worker and NAB National Missionary, Rev. Jozsef Csuhai, and his wife, Zita.
Together they led a Thursday breakfast breakout session on NAB Mission to the Roma people of Central Europe that was very well attended. Ron and Jeannie were truly moved by the numerous people who showed interest in their work and others who told them they were reading their website (justaseck.com) and their prayer updates and were praying for them regularly.
Ron was also interviewed by Norm Poehlke during his plenary session on Friday morning, giving opportunity to tell more of what God was doing in the ministry in Central Europe and the Balkans. Jozsef was also recognized on-stage with other invited international mission workers, being cited for his pioneering Baptist work among the Roma of Hungary. The affirmation was truly encouraging.
The week before the Triennial, Ron and Jeannie and Jozsef and Zita visited supporting churches in South and North Dakota to give reports and share partnership opportunities in Hungary, Serbia and Romania. They spent 3 super days meeting with the leaders, mission committees and members of Oak Hill Baptist Church and Brandon Valley Baptist Church in Sioux Falls, SD. They also spent a day in Ashley, ND, giving a report to the representatives from several area churches, hosted by Ashley Baptist Church. Then it was on to Bismarck for meetings with Century Baptist and Bismarck Baptist. The trip ended with a weekend stop in Dickinson, ND, with the folks at Hillside Baptist church. The Csuhais and Secks were greatly touched by the hospitality, openness and willingness to consider partnerships in Central Europe by the NAB people of North and South Dakota.
New Community Outreach and Development Projects Need Partners
The Lord keeps opening new doors of opportunity for our CHE Teams in Central Europe. But these are also open doors of opportunity for our churches and people as well. NAB Partners are needed immediately for three Community Health Evangelism (CHE) development projects being started in Serbia, Romania and Hungary by our NAB National Missionaries and teams.
Romania — churches, teams and individuals are needed to help start a community development project in the village of Parhida, on the Romanian-Hungarian border. The first stage will be to help build a community center/church under the direction of Pastor Zsolt Albert of the Hungarian Baptist Union of Romania. Zsolt is our CHE leader in Transylvania.
Hungary — Fellow laborers from our NAB churches are asked to help build winter greenhouses and mentor agriculture students at Grossalkovich High School in Hatvan, Hungary. This is part of an ongoing MEK Hungary project being led by our NAB national missionary, Laci Daroczi.
Serbia — NAB National Missionary, Marijana Cizmanski, and her REZ Serbia team are ready to start development projects in 2 Roma communities around Novi Sad. They will need help from NAB churches, teams and individuals to build a training center/church in the community of Mali-Beograd and to assist with children and youth program training.
If you or your church has an interest in exploring these opportunities for partnership further, contact Ron at ronseck@me.com.
NAB National Missionary, Marijana Cizmanski, is in Zambia!
Please remember to pray for Marijana Cizmanski as she participates in an important Community Health Evangelism Conference in Zambia, Africa. In addition to the conference, she will be traveling to community development sites to study CHE methods and learning best practices to use in her ministry in Serbia. She returns to Serbia, August 22
