Preparing for Change

Published on March 03, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

pic 2 Pic 1This winter has been a blessing and a challenging one. In November the L*rd blessed us with two new grandchildren nine days apart – one born in Edmonton and the other in Utah. In December Lois’ Mom (Celesta Cooke) had a heart-attack and went home to her L*rd within that week. Lois was able to go to Nebraska to be with her siblings and her mom that week. Having already purchased the ticket to fly to Edmonton to help with our son’s family in Edmonton, she was there nearly three weeks. Mom Cooke left us with a G*dly legacy and was a faithful pr*yer warrior for her family. Her example of faithful devotion and service will be greatly missed.

The L*RD gave, and the L*RD has taken away;

blessed be the name of the L*RD.” Job 1:21 (ESV)

Recently I was working at my job (I process orders and manage the national accounts for a blender company while we raise our support) and was really down about why I am currently doing that kind of work instead of the areas of m*n*stry I have served in and enjoyed. That next day I was again challenged with the following: “Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the L*rd. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lo*rd and not for men, knowing that from the L*rd you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the L*rd Chr*st. Col. 3:22-25 (ESV)

He impressed upon my heart that this is where He has placed us for now and I must serve where I’ve been located. It’s amazing how many opportunities I’ve been given to share my faith in the workplace He has placed me.

This past spring, the Lord began to move upon our hearts with the desire to finish our years of ministry internationally.

With our background in education and gifts in mentoring, we sensed the L*rd leading us to be educators and life coaches in Asia. We are partnering with NAB to create a team to impact a generation that is open and seeking the truth. Also the Ch*rch is in need of encouragement and mentoring. L*rd willing, our goal is to relocate to Asia sometime in late 2015 or the start of 2016. Of course this is dependent on the fact that we have those who join us to be faithful pr*y-ers and a generous financial support team. We would be so blessed if the L*rd should lead you to join our pr*yer/support team. G*d bless you!
