Dear Family and Friends,
Happy summer! The past couple of months have been filled with travel and activities. I have loved seeing God at work all around me! Here are a few of the places God is at work around me…
Starbucks: Although I don’t like coffee, I go to Starbucks often to read, study, chat with friends, and meet new people. I have two new students in my baking class as a result of these visits! The lady on the very right side of the picture works at Starbucks and the lady behind her I met one day when we were both there studying and enjoying a cool beverage. I am very sad that the shopping center where my Starbucks is located will be closing at the end of August. Fortunately, all of the staff are moving to a new shop opening near my apartment at the end of October, so I will still be able to see them!
Moving: Our friend and Komyo Church member, Hitomi Yamanaka, has moved to Minnesota. We are sad to see her leave, but are excited for the plans God has for her!
MELT: I went to Anaheim, CA, with five Japanese for the second Magnolia English Language Tour sponsored by Magnolia Baptist Church. We enjoyed time with church members, studying the Bible and English, sightseeing, and of course, Disneyland together.
