Dear Family and Friends,
After embarking on a good period of rest to start our home assignment time, travels began in late September to supporting churches/missions conferences.
We are thankful for the opportunity to fellowship with senders who share in our ministry. We report on our most recent 4-year term in Cameroon and share how God’s work in the church there is going. As members together in God’s family, we are also updated on how the church in North America is doing with the joys and challenges of ministry.
While participating in this season of time in North America, part of our hearts and minds are still very much in Cameroon. Having left Cameroon in July in a state of political unrest, each day we eagerly seek out updates of what is happening with our co-workers, family and church family. The presidential election has now passed but the arrival of a peaceful reconciliation between the marginalized English-speaking population and the Government has not yet come. News of general strike days, travel bans, curfews, kidnappings, killings and the displacement of communities continues. The church in Cameroon is trying to help some of those suffering through this crisis but is challenged since the worsening economy is affecting church giving. To help, the NAB has created the Cameroon Crisis Relief Fund in support of the Cameroon Baptist Convention’s efforts to raise funds to assist in alleviating some of the suffering. Funds will be used to assist payment of medical bills of the wounded, education for displaced children, and food for prisoners. Please consider if you or your church would like to help with this need. The link is
