SEMINARY NEWS
Paulo and I had a wonderful time on home assignment! We were able to visit 21 of our supporting churches and participate in the Detroit Missions Conference. Our travels took us all over western Canada and into the US. We were even able to visit a couple who are very special to us, having served as missionaries in Brazil for over 50 years. Thanks to all those who hosted us in your churches and homes. We are forever grateful for the time spent praying and fellowshipping together! Also, a big thanks to a friend who allowed us to use her home in the mountains for a week. My mom was able to go with us, and together we had a much-needed time of rest and restoration. The only sad part was not being able to visit everyone this time around. In some cases, COVID restrictions made in-person visits more challenging.
PERSONAL NEWS
I shared in my last prayer letter that my mom’s sister was diagnosed with brain tumours. On April 12, she passed away, 11 months and a day after my dad. This has been another big loss for our family in less than a year. But we are very grateful that we were able to see her four times during our travels before the Lord took her.
