Psalm 139:1-18
The Psalm says “Where can I go from your spirit”.
What a great chapter when you’re committed to serving Him. It’s so cool to read this and understand that He has already gone before us to prepare our way to Romania.
Some months back it was hard to see how He was moving and what He was doing, but then without any notice everything fell into place.
We had been sitting at about 35% of our total financial support and life seemed to get louder than our calling to Romania. Distractions came into our life—bills, work, and some are welcomed like family and friends. Then one day we get a call we’ve reached 50% and we are off to NAB’s International Office in Sacramento to start filling out paperwork. While we are there we get called into the conference room (are we in trouble??). No, God went before us—we’re celebrating 83% (can you give Him a Wahoo!!!!) Now we are doing the paperwork that says ‘you are going to Romania’!!!!
So yes, Psalm 139:1-18 does sum up the kind of God we serve. It has been busy since we got home from California, starting to plan how to pack up all we want to take with us, how to pack what is staying behind (although that is not much for us anymore), and spending as much time as we can with our family and our three grandchildren.
So if we could ask one thing from you folks who are reading this—Would you hold us and our family up to the One who has our lives in the palm of His hand and ask Him who is able to sustain us while we are apart and make us a blessing to those we meet and work along side in Romania.
November 27 is departure date; we are so thrilled, excited, anxious, sad, happy, hopeful, and thankful to have all of you praying for us; we know He hears.
Lord willing our next update will be from the field in Romania!
