I arrived back in Japan without incident on April 7th and was welcomed warmly by my colleagues: Paul and Melissa Ewing and Shan Reed. I praise God for them! They stocked my fridge with food and made the transition easy.
I have transitioned back well to life in Japan and have been enjoying having fellowship with my friends here again. One of the highlights was being able to worship with the people at Komyo Christian Church. I have had several Sundays to worship together with them before I move on to my next assignment. What is my next assignment you ask?
I will be making Kongo Bible Church my new home church. One Sunday a month I will be going to Heijo Christian Church. These two churches will be the ones that I will mainly be focusing my energy on. They are churches that are without a pastor. Kongo Bible Church has basically only 5 active regular members right now. Heijo has more with about 15 or so . I will give a message to the Kongo church once a month and also participate in a weekly fellowship with the ladies. I will also participate in a ladies meeting bi-monthly at the Heijo church. For now I believe my job is to spend much time in prayer for these churches and to develop a good relationship with them. As the Holy Spirit leads, I believe that God will bring clarity and direction to help these churches and its members. Please pray with me for these churches and for continual wisdom as to how I can help with discipleship.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!
