God is at work and inviting me to join Him in new ways. I look back to see how He has guided my steps. From planting a church in Nairobi among refugees, working with the leadership to establish stability, and continuing to provide oversight for the leadership. Each trip to Nairobi expands the partnership of those in Canada and within Kenya. From June 4 to 19, 2026, Mr. Nelson, Mr. Edwin, Mrs. Shirley, and Mrs. Rosalia carried out a mission from Steele Heights Baptist Church in Edmonton, Alberta, to Fresh Manna Fellowship Ministries in Kenya. We accomplished much in the short time there.

Shop Funded by Steele Heights Baptist Church and GEM

Over a two-year period, funding was collected to assist the congregation to set up a store in a community. It has now been operating for nine months, and we wanted to evaluate the impact on the people who are running it, as well as the benefits to the congregation. The store is generating enough profit to cover its operational expenses and the salary of a salesperson. Access to household goods has benefitted many families within the congregation. The desire is to continue to improve the physical layout of the store, as well as increase inventory, which would require additional funding.

Sunday School tent for the children of Fresh Manna Fellowship Ministries. A tent, tables and chairs were purchased to provide space dedicated to the Sunday School.

Curriculum and supplies are next on the list. The teachers will really enjoy this area for teaching the children.

Installation of a New Pastor and the Ordination of an Associate Pastor

Pastor Dieudonne Kimenyerwa was installed as the Lead Pastor to succeed Pastor Jonas Nsabimana, who retired in June 2026. Pastor Semahoro was ordained as an associate Pastor. The ceremonies took place in an atmosphere of joy and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Partnership between African Gospel Church and Fresh Manna Fellowship Ministries

During our visit, our team met with Bishop Robert Lang’at, and we began the process of establishing a partnership between the two churches. We are currently drafting a memorandum of understanding, and the partnership will take effect once the document is signed by both parties.

We sincerely thank our Lord Jesus Christ for being with us throughout the journey and enabling us to faithfully complete our mission. We also thank our church for its prayerful and financial support.
