News From Zambia

Published on October 10, 2016

Greetings Friends, and a special Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to my friends up north!

As I prepare to travel back to Zambia in two short weeks, I want to share a few ministry updates by way of EOH’s most recent newsletter (attached).

I am amazed at all God is doing in Zambia, so please join me in acknowledging His faithfulness and specifically praying in the following ways:

  • Please pray for important strategic discussions with Zambia staff later this month about how to best address the educational and career development needs of our maturing My Father’s House students. We realize these students are entrusted to us for just a few short years and our desire and responsibility is to prepare them as completely as possible to live independent and successful lives. Pray for wisdom and clear direction as we consider appropriate staffing needs and development plans for these students.
  • We at Every Orphan’s Hope are very appreciative of those who have partnered with us to launch the Narrow Road Bicycle Shop (read more in the attached newsletter). The shop opened it’s doors for business this past week and we have already experienced great interest and excitement from the community. Pray for our students who are working in the shop to gain work experience and learn business management and marketing skills, and pray for a great witness to the surrounding community through this new business-as-mission project.
  • Pray for upcoming board meetings for EOH Zambia (Oct. 27) and EOH US (Nov. 19). Thank God for those who volunteer their time, energy, passion and expertise to help lead these two organizations.
  • On a more personal level, please pray for my father. He will turn 83 in December, Lord-willing, and was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He will begin treatments soon and I know he would appreciate your prayers.

To each of you who pray regularly and support my ministry with EOH, please accept my heart-felt Thank You! You encourage me greatly and allow me to do what I love.

God’s very best to you all,

Tony
