Progress in Russia

Published on February 06, 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

Its happening!    I want to share with you the good news that your investment and our work in Russia is moving into high gear, and I am excited. If you have followed the involvement of the NAB in Russia, you know that we have helped in the training of hundreds of pastors, teachers and leaders for the church there.   In the early years we sent professors to supplement a year-long intensive Bible school course that was offered in a different city each year. My involvement began in 1999 when I taught for the first time in Omsk.

Over the years the ministry in Russia has changed and we have changed with it.    Instead of centering in one location for a full year of classes, we work under the Moscow Theological Seminary and provide teachers, upon request, to twelve different Learning Centers across Russia.   I began coordinating this ministry last May, and our current schedule will allow us to offer over fourteen courses during this academic year.   We have continued our involvement in Khabarovsk with the Equip Leader training.   As that continues, we will also have teachers in Chita, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Chelyabinsk, Rostov, and also Odessa, Ukraine.   In all, we expect to provide fifteen teachers this year. We have a close relationship with Russian Leadership Ministries  through Dr. Peter Mitsovich.  Almost every teacher will visit the seminary in Moscow as well as teaching at a specific Learning Center.  I strongly invite you to visit the schools via the itnernet on these links.
