Dear Family and Friends,

Praise the Lord! Responding to the needs of brothers and sisters, we have established a new fellowship group of caring divorced people in December 2015.

Participants are very thankful for the fellowship; and they support and lift up each other in love. Once again, we have experienced our Father’s provision and preparation when we responded to His guidance.

Our Father put the burden of developing a divorced-group caring ministry into our hearts last September. However, we had no idea how to serve this group of people with this specific need as we have not had any experience of doing it. We kept on praying, tried to discern what our Father was working on, and then we followed. In the following months, more than twenty brothers and sisters approached us to express their affirmations towards the needs of caring divorced people. One day, a young lady approached us. Her name is Rebecca (pseudonym). She got divorced in 2013 and showed great interest in serving together to develop this ministry.

Rebecca met and was in courtship with her ex-husband for 12 years, and her marriage lasted for only 7 years. They rarely quarreled and Rebecca was proud of her marriage. One day when their son was 10-months old, Rebecca was told by her ex-husband that he got another woman and was requested to get divorced. Rebecca was shocked and fully heart-broken. She tried every way to save her marriage, even committing suicide; nevertheless, her ex-husband has left her. Her ex-husband took their son to live  with his girlfriend who had an eight-year old son already. Rebecca totally collapsed and felt betrayed.

In the following months, Rebecca got severely sick physically and emotionally. She has received psychological counseling assistance but her emotional condition did not improve. There was no way for her to accept the reality and continue her life. Almost at the same period of time, her ex-husband’s girlfriend was not willing to take care of her son and returned him to Rebecca. One day, Rebecca met her ex-colleague on the street who is a Chr*stian. She was greatly comforted by her ex-colleague with our Father’s words and was brought to ch*rch. Several months later, Rebecca converted. She was healed and strengthened in the Lord. Since then the Lord gives her a great burden to lift up those who are also hurt by broken marriage.

On the other hand, Bud and Lois made a difficult decision to decline the service here due to health reasons.

We pr*y that the Almighty Lord heals them, comforts them, and continues to use them to witness Him no matter where they are. Please also pr*y for the Lord to send coworkers to serve together with us here in His time.

We are grateful that the Lord guides us and strengthens us to serve Him here every day. With your fervent prayers and all kinds of support, we are so blessed in walking with you all in the mis*on journey.

With love and appreciation,

Nick and Iris
